Marie Curie Coffee morning: Saturday 4^th July, 10 am - 12 noon

Come along and support our Coffee Morning, part of the “Blooming Great Coffee Morning” venture organised by Marie Curie.  We hope there will be some stalls, a raffle and tombola.  If you have any items we could use, they would be very gratefully received by Fr Tony.

You are invited to attend the Confirmation of six candidates from our congregation which is to be held in St Martin ’s Church on Wednesday 8^th July with the Bishop of Hull, Richard Frith presiding.  I can honestly say this will be one of the few confirmation services where every candidate has been faithfully attending church for many months as well as taking part in the confirmation preparation classes!  Please come and support them.  You may like to remember them in your prayers both before and after they are confirmed.  Their names are:

 Strawberry Teas: St Martin ’s invites you to its annual Strawberry Tea on Saturday 11^th July from 2.00 pm .  There will be the usual stalls and strawberries, cream and cake to tempt you.

St Saviour’s is also holding a Strawberry Tea at the home of Lilian Jackson, Flat 2, 6 Westwood, Scarborough .  This is also a fund-raising event for the Church and offers of help and goods for the various stalls will be gratefully received.

At 10.00 am in St Martin ’s Church the school will be saying goodbye to its Year 6 pupils as they prepare to begin their secondary education.  All welcome.

  Cologne Chamber Orchestra: On Thursday 30^th July we will be welcoming back to St Martin ’s members of the Cologne Chamber Orchestra.  At the time of going to press, details of their programme have not been circulated.  However, the efficiency of the German publicity machine in distributing posters means that you will be able to find details of the programme in advance of the concert.
