 GIFT AID: Give to the church at no extra cost!

Are you a taxpayer? If so, read on . . . You can help the church financially WITHOUT additional cost to yourself! For example, for every £10 you donate through Gift Aid, the church receives £12.82. You can still make a positive contribution if you pay tax at the lower rate (ie 10%). Read on . . . it gets even better.

Advantages of Gift Aid:

1          The church gains 28% on whatever you give at no extra cost to you.

2          YOU can claim your contribution against your tax.

3          NO covenant is involved.

4          NO prescribed commitment is involved.

5          NO fixed time-scale as a commitment.

6          The amount you give does not need to be regular or consistent in amount.

7          If you already give by pink or blue envelope, just sign up and continue with your envelopes. We do the rest.

8          Giving is strictly confidential.

9          If you already give regularly, then your gift can be retrospective to 2000.

10     Once you have signed up to say that Gift Aid can be applied to your contribution, you need do nothing else.

11        If you put your money in the plate on Sunday, it must be in an envelope with some means of identification.

12        Giving can be weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually or just occasionally. Of course, we would prefer one of the former, but every penny helps.

13        If you cease to give for any reason, there are NO penalties . . . you just stop, let us know and your name is removed from the list.
